Kuraby Special School is
divided into four sectors
Junior, Middle, Secondary and Senior.
This sector
structure supports student learning. Sector junctures support student learning to
be individualised, as well as developmentally
age appropriate.
Middle
management teacher leaders of Primary and High school work closely with sector
teachers and our Head of Curriculum. Teachers plan units of work together
ensuring each student receives curriculum and learning opportunities which are
based on their individual strengths, learning needs and interests.
Our school
curriculum is sequentially planned and supervised by our Head of Curriculum.
Individual student data analysis drives curriculum decision making for each of
our students. Parents, carers and staff collaborate to write student individual
curriculum plans which are evaluated and reviewed at six monthly intervals.
